The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has held a forum for stakeholders to advance the interest of the pension scheme.

Mr Poku explained that the Scheme was not meant for only employees in the formal sector and encouraged every worker within both the formal and informal sectors to be part of the scheme.
He assured stakeholders that the Scheme remained resolute and would continue to deliver its core mandate without hesitation.
Alhaji Issah Yahaya, Northern Regional Chairman of the Pensioners Association of Ghana urged the citizenry to support to strengthen the SSNIT pension scheme to improve the welfare of pensioners.
He advised the younger generation to start contributing towards the SSNIT scheme as an investment for their future where they could retire in dignity.
